The City of Palo Alto, located in the world’s tech start-up center (Silicon Valley), has been a PinForce client since 2009 when they took on our solution to assist in their parking enforcement program.
In that time DCA’s relationship with Palo Alto has been very successful, despite the 20,000 km distance and operating in the US market with City of Palo Alto’s unique parking regime. This is largely due to the generic adaptability of the PinForce product and the professionalism of the DCA customer support team.
It was therefore no surprise that, instead of changing to a different product, Palo Alto decided in early 2016 to stay with PinForce and upgrade their PinForce Mobile system from the Windows platform to the newer Android version, using the later version of PinForce installed on Samsung Galaxy S7 devices.
Work began in DCA’s Melbourne office in the months leading up to the October installation under the oversight of Catherine Asciak, DCA’s Project Manager for the account, who liaised directly on a daily basis with Karen McAdams, the Parking Manager at Palo Alto – time difference and geographical distance being no barrier.
The thoroughness and professionalism of this pre-installation process resulted in an extremely smooth rollover when Catherine flew to Palo Alto to implement the upgrade in October.
