Discover What it takes to implement your first ai tool
The road to AI-readiness (and whatever else the future of technology has in store) can seem impenetrable, especially viewed alongside the unique challenges faced by modern non-profit organisations. But, as DCA’s FIA Data Week 2025 webinar with our amazing client Oxfam hopefully illustrated, anything’s possible if you start with the data.
We’ve put together a checklist to continue the conversation, walking you through what it takes to integrate an AI agent into your organisation.

Oxfam and DCA
How it started
Oxfam’s journey with DCA began in 2018 when they reached out to us about a CRM transformation project from a highly customised, 20+ year old legacy system to Salesforce that had fallen months behind schedule. Our team was brought in to address data knowledge gaps and help the transformation get back on track.
How it’s going
✓ Get the basics right:
- Migration to a single source of truth with up-to-date business rules
- Deduplicate records, check for and resolve any errors
- Identify invalid contact by checking syntax, mailbox availability, ping status, etc
✓ Futureproof the asset:
- Integrate tools for deduplication, compliance, verification, and validation
- Automate data transformation between connected systems
- Fill in the gaps with data enhancement from reputable sources like Australia Post’s National Change of Address or the Government’s Australian Death Check
✓ AI-readiness unlocked:
- Well-structured data with an evolving and future-proof governance framework
- Complete, validated, verified, and deduplicated data with specialised tools to keep it that way
- A robust and trustworthy dataset for advanced, algorithmic insights that grows with the organisation
