Federal and State Government Agencies

Client Requirements

DCA worked with State and Federal Government agencies looking to engage in largescale data projects including implementing a replacement Notifiable Infectious Disease Surveillance (NIDS) system, and reconcile birth and death records from 1940 to the present day. These projects were significant in size for both agencies, with the State Government project being the largest ever undertaken by that agency’s IT department. Requirements for both projects centred on compliance, documentation, and data hygiene. Specific requirements included:

  • Electronic capture of notification data
  • Monitoring of notification data
  • Mapping capabilities
  • Detailed reporting
  • Business process design
  • Data matching
  • Consolidation
  • Validation
