DCA at the Asia Pacific Loyalty Conference 2024
Recently, representatives from our DCA Data Services team packed off to the Asia Pacific Loyalty Conference 2024. It was hosted in the QT resort on the Gold Coast, and drew attendees from all over the APAC region.
We were delighted by the opportunity to catch up with our friends and industry colleagues and to get a feel for the current challenges and recent triumphs in the loyalty sector.
It’s always especially gratifying when a client gets to talk about their own success stories, so we were particularly excited to spot Elisse Jones, who is Total Tools’ APAC Head of Loyalty and an expert in her field, presenting during a session on how to optimise the customer journey to offer relevance and choice over hyper-personalisation.
From conversations with our stand visitors, we’ve discovered a number of common data challenges loyalty professionals are contending with today. The three most common were:
- Governance, compliance and privacy. Given the rising tide of changes in privacy legislation globally, from 2018’s European GDPR to Australia’s current review of the Privacy Act, it’s not surprising that this is cause for some uncertainty in the loyalty sector!
- Achieving a unified member database. A single customer view is the gold standard for loyalty data, and it supports personalisation, segmentation and consent management.
- Professionals looking for ways to make the big, complex job of “fixing” their loyalty data more manageable, and seeking out new ways to prove the value of data management to stakeholders.
These are all interesting and highly interconnected questions, and we look forward to being able to answer questions about them more deeply for our clients in future.
If we missed you at this Asia Pacific Loyalty Conference, then we hope to see you next time! In the meantime, if you’ve got a tricky loyalty data question, our data experts have answers.
